Harry Potter + Wii + Lego = Freakin' Awesome!

I love the LEGO video games.  Love, love, love them.  It all started with my husband buying me LEGO Star Wars, and then there was LEGO Indiana Jones, and the best so far, was LEGO Batman.  These games improve with each new title release, and now 2010 is going to bring us...  wait for it...  wait for it... LEGO FREAKIN' HARRY POTTER!!!!  .  I am disgustingly excited about this.  I think what I love about the LEGO games is that you can play as pretty much any character (I'm really hoping that this continues in the Harry Potter title, because I really, really want to play as Snape :D).  There are so many different levels and things to do, and the characters are just so damn cute.  I just squee whenever I am playing.

I will definitely be buying this game.

I was reading your post here and before I got to your part about the best feature of the LEGO games I was thinking "Oh! They are making one? This means I can play Snape!"

Great minds. Here's to hoping the makers of the game continue the trend.

*chuckles* I gifted myself with Sims 3 this past B-day. I've been wanting a Sims game for years, just for a certain purpose. . .

You can imagine what I did.

Adult Snape

Young Snape and Lily

Herbology

Wonderfully satisfying, it's like a fanfic video game. Huge learning curve though, took me awhile to prefect my awesome character building skillz.

I think I'll post more on my LJ at a later date. ; ) It's fun to share.

That is specifically why I have never bought myself the SIMS. I would be lost entirely to this world ;-). Those are some fantastic characters you built. Very impressive!

Thank you! I just created a Remus Lupin that I'm very proud of, I'll post him sometime soon.

I've found that most people, just don't take the time to really utilize the game's character appearance customizability (I've learned more about facial anatomy in the last week the. . .). Also, Sims 3 has a handy "traits" ability, so I can give Snape his true personality.

Yeah, at first I was a psycho obsessive being, but I've learned to only play the game when it wont interfere with homework. I still prefer reading fanfic, there's nothing like the joy I get from a good Snape story.

Yours it so much better than any of those offerings. Customizing the characters looks and personality is probably what I would get most addicted to, actually. Sigh, the power to custom build my own Snape would be just to much power for me to handle, I fear ;-).
